May Sales Tip:
Using datafeeds are a great way to showcase our full line of contact lenses and accessories. Your viewers are prescribed a specific contact lens by their eye doctor. Simply providing them an opportunity to find that exact lens before coming to our site increases your chances for a sale along with saving your visitor's time to research our site. Datafeeds also allow your viewers to see our full line of accessories and other products before purchasing which qualifies them as a buyer right on your site and will increase your orders per visit.

For those of you who don't currently use feeds, there are numerous ways to go about doing it. In both Commission Junction and ShareASale, you can easily access our feeds via FTP if you have full access. If not, simply let us know and we'll get access for you.

Alternatively, you can use any of our 3rd party tools such as GoldenCAN or Product Showcase Creator to show our entire feed or a few simple products in just a few steps.

Since there are many ways to incorporate a datafeed, we won't go into details here but should you have individual questions on how a feed can spruce up your site and increase sales, simply contact us at affiliates@aclens.com.

International Affiliates

We've been receiving a lot of questions from international affiliates wondering how to get our different currencies to display from our banners, text links, etc. Here's a simple way to direct any of your visitors to any of our international currencies:

It's fairly easy, but time consuming, to get an international currency to show through our CJ links. For text links and banners, you'll need to follow these directions to get it to work.

Login to CJ and go to our links page. Click the check box for "Hide tracking code in link?"
This should bring up a longer string of code for the particular link (I'll use 10300402 Link to Acuvue as an example). In this longer code, you'll now see a section that has: window.status='http://www.aclens.com/';return true;
On the end of our URL in that string, add: default.asp?NCurID=2 so that our URL now shows http://www.aclens.com/default.asp?NCurID=5.
The entire string for this particular ad should look like this (where XXXXX is your PID):
http://www.jdoqocy.com/click-XXXXXX-10300402" target="_top" onmouseover="window.status='http://www.aclens.com/default.asp?NCurID=5';return true;" onmouseout="window.status=' ';return true;">Save on Acuvue Brand contact lenses at ACLens.com! http://www.lduhtrp.net/image-XXXXXXX-10300402" width="1" height="1" border="0"/>

The default.asp?NCurID=5 that you added should now bring up all of our products in Canadian Dollars when a visitor clicks on a link. You will need to do all of these steps for each individual banner and currency that you want to use. Here is the code for our other currencies:

UK Pounds- default.asp?NCurID=2
Euro's- default.asp?NCurID=3
Japanese Yen- default.asp?NCurID=4
Canadian Dollar- default.asp?NCurID=5

If you want to do a product feed with any of the different currencies, you'll need to contact us since it's an entirely different process.

Another Record Month

Hi Everyone,

May turned out to be a great month for contact lens sales. I'd like to thank everyone for your hard work and dedication in helping make ACLens.com the best contact lens affiliate program on the internet. I'd also like to congratulate the fantastic work of all the sites that met our mid-May goal and will now receive 12% commission in June. We have many exciting things to report this month.

First, we now offer a FREE product feed generator on the affiliate section of our site. For those of you who haven't paid CJ to receive product feeds, you can now get all the ACLens.com products listed on your site by visiting our CJ Feed Generator. The tool is simple to use...just enter your PID (publisher ID) and click "generate feed". The resulting table will include the manufacturer name, product name, a short description, Commission Junction link for each product, large picture, and thumb nail picture. You can then easily copy and paste the table into Excel as Unicode Text and take it from there!! Please make sure to test your links after inserting the table on your site to ensure proper commission tracking.

I'm also pleased to announce we have two brand new coupon codes for June. I think you'll find both highly valuable to your site and great conversion tools. Use Product Data Feeds to Boost Sales

Afternoon. Just thought I'd take aminute to explain product data feeds for those of you who aren't taking advantage of them. Data feeds are very powerful tools for affiliates. These spreadsheet, csv, or tab files allow you to build dynamic sites in a fraction of the time that it would take to hand code a site. You can add product listings for all or many of AC Lens's products by simply creating a page or a few pages.

If you work with MS Access you are golden. You just download the file (from CJ's Ask A Question interface or email me) and then import it into a database file, or the database file you use for your site.

Create a display page that is keyed on the productID. You can use a querystring like this http://www.mysite.com/mydisplaypage.asp?ProductID=x. There are a few more details that you must include that I can explain to you personally later, but your web developer should know how to incorporate such variables.

Each page includes variables that pull from the feed and each page is generated dynamically. You can have a page for every lens in our feed. All you need to do is create links using the URL style above and you should see your commissions increase.

Listing our products as well as including text and banner links creates a more content rich site and adds value for the user.
